MeasureUp Flooring has been operating for over 20 years in Whangarei and the greater the Northland region. We have laid floors and assisted numerous clients in both residential and commercial buildings.

Our flooring plans show exactly where joins are positioned; this lets our customers know the precise quantities so they can confidently ‘shop around’ and purchase product of their choice from either ourselves or any other flooring supplier. Every quantified floor plan is supplied with seam placement and required meterage to reduce wastage so you confidently compare “apples with apples” when purchasing your floor covering choice. We will not increase our installation costs if you supply the floor coverings.

Our customers are dealing directly with installers who can direct them to choose the correct product for their home and/or provide advice on what they should expect to pay for any given product.

HISTORY OF MEASUREUP FLOORING LTD.

Brian Burke has worked in the flooring industry since 1990 when he purchased Biddle Floorsanding in Kaitaia and sanded and polished wood flooring.

Two years later he started the company Kaitaia Flooring which was a carpet, vinyl, and floor sanding retail business. Later, he purchased a Carpet Court and entered into a full franchise 650m2 Flooring Retail Business which operated for a further 18 years.

As Burke’s reputation as a friendly and professional installer continued to grow, he once again became more involved with site measures and quotes, more immersed in the supply of products and increasingly interested in the technological and logistical side of the flooring world.

He eventually decided to sell and move further south to Whangarei. He noted that there was a huge shortage of flooring installers and wanted the opportunity to train others and so created a small installation company called Northland Floor Layers.

Finally, in March 2017, Burke re-branded his business and branched out, turning Northland Floor Layers into MeasureUp Flooring Ltd. A one-stop-shop for all your flooring needs, Brian now managers twenty eight plus staff members, a sales team, installers and contractors – he has got you fully covered when it comes to flooring.
