Mokaba Cafe

(Completed in 2022)

At MeasureUp Flooring Ltd, we’re proud to be part of projects that bring spaces back to life. The Mokaba renovation in Whangārei is a great example of what strong collaboration can achieve.

Builder:

Arco

The Project
This renovation, led by Arco, focused on modernising the Mokaba space with flooring that not only looks great but performs under pressure in a busy commercial environment.

Our Role
Our team was responsible for the supply and installation of a combination of safety vinyl, LVT (luxury vinyl tiles), and carpet tiles — all supplied by Jacobsen.

Each product was carefully selected to suit different areas of the space:

Safety vinyl for high-traffic and slip-sensitive zones adhering to council requirements.
LVT for a modern, hard-wearing finish with a natural look
Carpet tiles to add comfort and acoustic control in key areas

As always, preparation was a major focus. Ensuring the subfloor was level and ready allowed us to deliver a clean, seamless finish across all surfaces.

The Result
The finished space is a perfect balance of practicality and style. With multiple flooring types working together, Mokaba now has a fresh, professional look that’s built to handle daily use while still feeling inviting.

A Team Effort
Projects like this highlight the importance of working alongside experienced partners. With Arco managing the build and quality products from Jacobsen, we were able to deliver a result that meets both visual and performance expectations.
